The paper deals with the study of Tetracotyle chauhani n. sp. a metracercaria of Strigeia from Rana cyanophlyctis. An attempt is being made to trace out the probable identity of T, chauhani n sp. with Proalarioides tropiado notis, a common proterodiplostome parasite of water Snake in India.
