Abstract

A study conducted on undergraduate students with Forward Head Posture (FHP) aimed to investigate the effects of Evjenth-Hamberg stretching exercises on their lung functions. The study involved 58 participants who underwent a six-week stretching intervention. Lung function parameters, including forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), and FEV1/FVC, were assessed before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant improvement in lung functions after the stretching intervention, with increased FVC, FEV1, and FEV1/FVC values. This suggests that incorporating Evjenth-Hamberg stretching exercises in physiotherapy interventions can positively impact respiratory function and overall well-being in undergraduate students with FHP.
